VOLUNTEERS ARE IMPORTANT TO US!!!
Volunteers make a positive difference in the lives of people with an intellectual disability.
In order to support many of our programs and activities, Community Living is looking for volunteers in different functional areas such as: Fitness/Exercise Programs, Special Events, Fundraising Events, Cooking Club, Transportation, and Literacy, to mention a few.
We promote good deeds and provide resources for people to learn about how they can help and share their experiences to inspire others to volunteer and help out.
With volunteer activities, the responsible community members of tomorrow can get their start today. These activities will show others how great it is to give back.
YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Volunteering really does make a difference. Think about it. What are you passionate about? Assisting others in your community is one of the easiest ways to put a smile on someone’s face.
YOU CAN EXPERIENCE SOMETHING NEW
Volunteering is one of the ways to open your eyes to the world. By putting yourself out there, you gain memorable experiences to help foster insight into what the real world is like. It allows you to socialize and bond with a variety of people.
YOU CAN BECOME MORE CONFIDENT
Volunteering is a form of empowerment that requires you to be independent and proactive. Taking initiative through your volunteer work will help raise your self-esteem, and helping others in your community will give you a sense of personal fulfillment.
